Job descriptionMust hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card. Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous. Passionate about providing excellent customer service. Ability to work to deadlines. Confident, polite, and a team player. Good geographical knowledge. Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated. Competitive Salary : £42,837 per annum (includes shift allowance of £17.50 per shift for any shifts starting between 12 : 00 and 02 : 00 Shift Hours : 14 : 00hrs – 16 : 00hrs, finish between 22 : 00hrs – 02 : 00hrs, Monday to Friday. Overtime : Available. Training : DCPC training during your employment Monthly Courses for a variety of areas. About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will :
- Use curtain side and box trailers on single and double deck trailers, to deliver goods to retail stores.
- Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed.
- Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
- Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.
