We are seeking a talented individual to join a brand-new Cloud Platform Engineering team at Marsh.

This role can be based in either one of our Liverpool, Bristol, Leeds or Manchester offices.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

You will be the Senior OCI Engineer for the UK & EMEA working collaboratively with US & Global colleagues, who together, support our cloud first initiatives.

Your focus will be to guide our implementation, help shape our design decisions & the tools we use, to manage our migration to AWS.

Supporting projects as well as implementing innovative technologies to engineer cloud platform services, container orchestration technologies as well as CI / CD automation.

We will count on you to :

• Help design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies to move existing on-premises workloads to OCI
• Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, including architecture diagrams, process diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement cloud-native applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues
• Stay current with OCI services and industry trends to ensure that cloud infrastructure is optimized for cost, performance, and reliability
• Work with security and compliance teams to ensure that cloud solutions meet industry and regulatory standards
• Mentor and train other IT team members on OCI best practices and cloud architecture
