Are you an experienced Biomedical Scientist with Histology expertise seeking a rewarding locum role in Scotland? We have an excellent opportunity with great pay and flexibility!
Job Title : Histology Biomedical Scientist Band 6
Location : Scotland
Duration : 3 month rolling contract
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date : ASAP
Rate of Pay : £40 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)

What You’ll Be Doing :
As a Biomedical Scientist in Histology, you’ll play a vital role in providing top-quality diagnostic services. In this role, your duties will include :
- Performing histology lab tests and preparing samples for diagnostic analysis
- Carrying out microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures
- Ensuring adherence to high laboratory standards and proper sample handling
- Collaborating with senior scientists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to the development and implementation of quality control protocols
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care

The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, with 37.5 hours per week, and there is some flexibility where needed. The initial contract is for 2 months which will be on a rolling basis, subject to performance and service needs.
