We are looking for dedicated, compassionate and flexible Support Workers to join our team in Thame, Oxfordshire , providing essential support to people with learning disabilities and / or autism.

We are a charity dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities and / or autism, helping them lead fulfilling lives within their communities. The Role :
As a Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting people in our care, providing person-centred support that respects each person’s uniqueness. You will be helping them to live their lives as independently as possible, while supporting them in their daily activities, socialising, learning new skills.
One person you may support is
- Geoffrey , he is a wonderful person who is at the beginning of their transition from male to female. Your role will include :
- Accepting Geoffrey for who they are and supporting them throughout their transition.
- Supporting Geoffrey in feeling comfortable with their feelings and emotions, providing a safe and accepting environment.
- Encouraging Geoffrey’s social inclusion by helping them get out and connect with others who share similar interests.
- Supporting Geoffrey with life skills both at home and out and about, such as shopping, cooking, and helping with washing hair or having a shower
- Respecting Geoffrey’s autonomy , including understanding that they may cancel support on the day if needed.
Flexible Support Worker Role Variable Hours
We’re looking for a compassionate and dependable individual to provide flexible support to Geoffrey. This is ideal for someone who can adapt to changing schedules and is available to step in when needed.
While there are no fixed regular shifts , the typical pattern of shifts you may be asked to cover includes :
You may be asked to cover full weeks when the main staff member is on leave. Flexibility is key, as support needs can vary
