Long - Term Teachers are seeking to appoint an experienced teaching assistant, who is confident to support a resource class within a mainstream school. You will be working with students in key stage 1 and 2 , who have a special educational need , this includes learning, physical and social, emotional, mental health needs. You must be adaptable, caring and patient along with a hard working work ethic, you will be working alongside other TA’s, however you must be able to use initiative to carry out tasks independently.

Responsibilities :

• Provide one-on-one or group mentoring sessions to students
• Assist students with understanding and applying mathematical concepts
• Develop and implement physical education activities to promote fitness and well-being
• Support preschool-aged children in their early learning and development
• Provide tutoring in various subjects, including applied behaviour analysis techniques
• Offer guidance and care for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Educate students with special needs, adapting teaching methods to meet individual requirements
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals
• Collaborate with teachers to create personalized learning plans for students
• Utilize your knowledge of early childhood education principles to enhance the learning experience

Requirements :

• Strong background in mathematics, physical education, or related fields
• Experience working with preschool-aged children or toddlers is preferred
• Familiarity with applied behaviour analysis techniques is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Passion for educating and mentoring individuals of all ages
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards learning

The position is full time , working Monday to Friday, term time only.
