CareerWise Recruitment are delighted to support a growing Tech company in their quest to find a Senior Tax and Audit Accountant for a 12 month fixed term contract role.This role is a fuly remote role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The successful will support the Financial Controller in activities for a publicly listed, rapidly growing software company with expanding international operations. Please see below the responsibilities and some requirements in order to be succesful in this process.

Role of this position

• Ensure compliance with all tax obligations including Transfer Pricing, Corporation Tax, VAT, Sales Taxes etc and timely reporting thereof.
• Liaising with external tax advisors to ensure awareness of all relevant tax legislation amendments and determine their impact on the business, systems, and procedures.
• Support tax planning initiatives and work with external tax advisors to prepare transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Analysis of VAT, sales taxes and other relevant tax requirements arising from customer contracts
• Providing appropriate support to all areas of the business on tax related matters
• Preparation of the group annual and local entity tax returns and liaise with external tax advisors and ensuring that return is made in a timely manner, working to tight deadlines.
• Work with external advisors to prepare the R&D tax credit claim and ensure documentation is complete, audit ready and compliant with latest regulations.
• Develop and lead the internal audit strategy and liaise with external consultants to ensure compliance.
• Lead annual and interim external audits to ensure completion of clean and timely audits.
• Liaise with other stakeholders as required.
• Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
