Your Role

As a Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher you will :

Deliver inspiring Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping them develop both technical skills and creative confidence

Teach a range of textiles techniques including pattern making fabric manipulation sewing and design processes

Foster a classroom environment that encourages students to think creatively work independently and collaborate with others

Plan and deliver a rich engaging curriculum in collaboration with a talented department team

Provide effective feedback and assessments that help students track their progress and reach their full potential

Contribute to extracurricular activities such as design exhibitions fashion shows and creative school events

Encourage students to apply their creativity and critical thinking in practical projects

What Were Looking For

We are looking for a motivated Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who :

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is eligible to obtain QTS by September 2025

Has a degree in Design and Technology Fashion / Textiles or a related field

Has a passion for teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and is committed to inspiring students

Demonstrates excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills

Is either an ECT looking for a structured induction programme or an experienced teacher with a proven track record of success in the classroom

Is eager to contribute to a positive school culture and work collaboratively with colleagues
