This role is predominantly based in our clients head office in Ellesmere Port.The job requires the following : - Knowledge of ATEX and Mechanical design of systems forhazardous areas- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline- Knowledge and experience of the design life cycles of aproject- Awareness of the regulations and standards applicable toMechanical / Process systems.- Experience of working within the process, oil & gas andpetrochemical industryMain duties : - Attend in-house and client weekly meetings providing technicalsupport to project managers- Liaison with clients and sub-suppliers of the technical deliveryof the projects in conjunction with the Project PM- Undertaking design reviews and attending design reviewmeetings- In house manufacturing support based on produced design- Specifying project materialsSecondary duties : - Manage, report and approve the delivery of project drawingsand associated records- Attend project handover with the sales team if needed- Sales quote input if needed- Manage build queries for both the workshop and site work ifneeded- Communicate Good Practice to other projects with referenceto the Performance Improvement Procedure- Responsible for their own health and safety and that of othersand undertake the obligations as defined within the H&S Manual.- Assist in the implementation of our clients' Quality Assurance,Environmental Management System, abide and promote its Policies and Procedures.What We Are Looking For : To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with at least 2-3 years' experience within a Process Design role. Ideally, you will have a gas network background and an understanding of GL5 / G17 processes.
