Role : SEN classroom support  Sector : Mainstream Primary Education Key Experience : Supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Pay : £84-£96 per day (dependent on qualifications and experience)Job Description : Teaching Personnel is collaborating closely with a cluster of mainstream primary schools to provide specialized SEN and Inclusion Teaching Assistants. We are currently recruiting passionate and experienced Teaching Assistants with a strong background in supporting children with ASD and ADHD. This rewarding role will involve working directly with students, often on a 1 : 1 basis, to support those with autism, ADHD, and additional needs.While the schools are mainstream, the children you will be supporting have complex, individualized needs, with some being non-verbal. The role will require sensitivity, dedication, and flexibility to provide tailored support in a dynamic classroom environment.Key Responsibilities : Collaborate effectively as part of a team within the classroom, ensuring the children are well supported, engaged, and actively learning from the lessons delivered.Provide focused support to children with ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties, helping them access the curriculum and develop essential social and academic skills.Understand and respond to the unique needs of children with ASD, providing a nurturing, structured environment that promotes independence and growth.Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.Approach the classroom with a warm, friendly, and positive attitude, motivating and encouraging students to achieve their full potential.Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a proactive, inspirational approach to supporting students' learning and personal development.The Ideal Candidate : Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and / or associated learning difficulties, with a clear understanding of the needs of students on the spectrum.Proven ability to work as part of a collaborative team in a classroom environment.A friendly, patient, and understanding approach with the ability to inspire and engage students.A strong commitment to building and maintaining positive, professional relationships with students, staff, and parents.Proactive, empathetic, and resourceful, with a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.Additional Information : This role is due to start ASAP, so we encourage you to apply immediately.Applications without an attached CV will not be considered.A current Enhanced Child DBS check is required for this role.Police clearance checks are necessary for candidates who have lived overseas for more than 6 months in the past 5 years.Please note, we do not offer sponsorships for this role.If you’re an experienced professional eager to make a significant impact in the lives of children with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.
