As a Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred, care to our elderly and vulnerable clients who live in and around the Stansted area. Help us to help them to live independently in their own homes. You can provide companionship during the day, help with with their daily activities and provide personal care.

The role of Support Worker

The essence of the role is to be passionate about providing the best care to allow our clients to live their life their way. You will support their preferences to enable them to live happily, safely and securely in their own homes.

What does this Support Worker job involve?

Each person has been assessed and have their own individually tailored Care and Support Plan. That may include any or all of the following :

• Companionship

Building relationships, providing social stimulation and emotional support, supporting their hobbies and interests, accompanying them to a variety of community activities, to the GP, dentist or hairdressing appointments.

Meal planning and preparation, assisting with prescription medication, shopping, laundry or light housework.

Helping an individual to bathe, wash, dress or assist with oral care or continence care.

Following training, be able to identify potential signs of concern or actual abuse to those at risk.
