Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Lichfield. This primary SEN school, renowned for its outstanding OFSTED rating, caters to children with Autism (ASC) and associated needs. The school prides itself on creating innovative learning opportunities to support the pupils in their educational journey.As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN to access the curriculum and actively participate in classroom activities. Collaborating closely with teachers, you will assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student. Your responsibilities will also include providing one-on-one or small group support during lessons to ensure students are engaged and motivated throughout their learning experience.To excel in this role, you must possess previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs. A strong understanding of various types of SEN, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, ADHD, etc., is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must, as you will be required to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
