About the role

The school is looking for a Teacher of Science to join the successful Science department. You will be responsible for;

Teaching : Delivering engaging and effective Science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7-11).

  • Planning & Preparation : Developing lesson plans and resources that cater to a wide range of abilities and learning styles, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported.
  • Assessment & Feedback : Regularly assessing students’ progress, providing constructive feedback, and using data to inform planning and improve student outcomes.
  • Classroom Management : Maintaining high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Collaboration : Working closely with the department and wider school staff to deliver an integrated and cohesive curriculum.
  • Professional Development : Engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities to improve teaching practice and stay up-to-date with educational developments.

Am I suitable?

The successful candidate for the Teacher of Science position will have to have :

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • ECT applications also welcomed
  • Degree or Higher in relevant field
  • At least 1 year teaching experience to Secondary age pupils
  • Unqualified Teacher applications will be considered if the candidate can showcase a vast experience of teaching GCSE and / or A Level Science
