Uniserve, a leading force in the logistics and supply chain industry, is seeking a motivated Night Shift Supervisor to join our expanding team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods and materials, maintaining our reputation for excellence. Working pattern : 4 on, 4 off -6pm until 06.30 am What youll do : As a Night Shift Supervisor , you will play a vital role in overseeing the safety, efficiency, and compliance of our transport operations. You will be responsible for managing the loading, unloading, and transportation of products, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and maintaining high standards of service. Key Responsibilities : Operational Oversight : Monitor driver performance, ensuring compliance with driving hours and safety protocols. Supervise the loading and offloading of goods, ensuring proper securing and safe handling. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance. Generate accurate reports to document transportation activities and provide feedback. Compliance and Regulation : Ensure strict adherence to all transport laws and industry regulations. Liaise with government departments as required, handling customs and other regulatory matters. Review and update policies and procedures to maintain compliance and efficiency. Team Management : Manage and motivate a team of drivers and warehouse personnel. Allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and efficient task completion. Provide clear instructions and foster a positive working environment. Flexibility : Act as Holiday relief cover, requiring availability any 5 of 7 days and nights, including weekend cover. When not covering holidays, work a Monday-Friday day shift. What We're Looking For : Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role. Strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Proven leadership and management abilities. Strong organisational and decision-making skills. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. IT proficiency, including experience with logistics software and spreadsheets. Mechanical knowledge is a bonus. Maths skills are essential.
