Somerdale Pavilion Trust are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team!
Here at Somerdale Pavilion our aim is to provide a diverse menu designed to cater for a wide variety of dietary requirements cooked freshly on site. As well as our bar service, we also cater for corporate buffets and other events. We are looking for someone to work within our existing team to deliver excellent service to our customers and community.
Your main duties and responsibilities include :
General cleaning (including washing up)
Preparing ingredients
Washing and chopping vegetables
Preparing dishes
Observing correct cooking times and temperatures
Using cooking equipment, utensils, and machinery (e.g., saucepans, pans, chopping boards, knives)
Keeping work stations and surfaces clean and tidy etc.
Following company policies and procedures
About you
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Will need to have a level of flexibility
Excellent organisational skills
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be a team player, but also use own initiative
An interest in the food and hospitality industry
Level 2 food hygiene certificate is preferred but full training will be provided
This is a part time casual position, further information on possible hours will be discussed at interview and may require some Saturdays.
Rate of pay is dependent on age and experience
