Moog Aircraft Group is looking for an apprentice-trained, experienced CNC Machinist (Turner / Mill-Turn) to join the team at our facility based in Wolverhampton. At Moog, we're focused on the customer and for us, this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high-profile. Our Machinists work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking CNC lathesYou will be working with a variety of materialsCapability and competent in setting up and using machine toolsCarry out own 1st off inspection and check / complete the necessary quality documentationProven experience in a machine shop environmentCompetent in setting up and using machine toolsConfident in using precision measurement equipment.Key ExpertiseAn indentured apprenticeship, craft, or technical qualification is desirableMinimum experience required operating star sliding head machine -3 yearsPrevious experience in

engineering / manufacturing

roles ideally within the aerospace industryGood knowledge of machining techniques & appropriate toolsAttention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniquesUsing the relevant inspection techniques / equipment to achieve drawing tolerancePlease note that this role requires working a night shift pattern. Additionally, overtime may be requested. The candidate must be self-certified and obtain a quality stamp after the qualifying period.

Security ClearanceBaseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and / or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
