Job description
A primary school in the Skipton area is seeking a dedicated 1 : 1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support for a Year 4 pupil with additional needs . This full-time position commencing as soon as possible to cover a long-term absence
The Role
This rewarding role involves working closely with a Year 4 child , adapting learning activities to their individual needs and helping them engage with the curriculum. You will :
- Implement strategies set by the teacher and SENCO to promote progress in both academic and social development.
- Provide consistent guidance to encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, using resources and techniques suited to the childs learning style.
- Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure continuity of care and support.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, promoting engagement and participation.
