E&I Network Maintenance Site Manager
is to manage a team of electrical, instrument and gas quality technicians, to successfully deliver business targets. You will oversee E / I / GQ maintenance on all NGN assets across the network footprint. This role is a critical line manager position within NGN, reporting directly to the E&I Operations Manager for the network.You are responsible for team development and should strive to maintain a healthy and safe workplace environment, excellent stakeholder experience and efficient workload delivery. You will be expected to contribute to the tactical direction of the NGN business generally and Site Operations specifically. You will bring a passion for developing a team spirit with a mixed team of newly qualified engineers and highly experienced colleagues. This is your chance to develop a maintenance team, fit for future challenges.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to
- Delivery of maintenance workload within budget and in line with targets and manage site operations, maximise efficiency while delivering excellent customer and safety performance
- Ensure that site activities are effectively delivered in line with NGN Policies and Practice and compliant to OFGEM statutory regulations
- Successfully manage a large engineering team located over a wide geographic area
- Resolve all network faults within agreed response timescales
- Support the network planning team with monthly workload assignment
- Own the workload delivery and report on KPI's in management performance meetings
- Review and approve all technical test results from maintenance activities
- Organise managerial support from ‘operations technicians' or ‘senior network technicians
- Resolve technical queries from the operational team
- Support the management team with implementation of new processes
- Perform engineering and safety audits on the team
- Resolve any safety related concerns with the assistance of the EH&S team
- Personal development within role to remain in line with current regulations and to achieve SAP / AE Status under EL6 & SCO
- Drive team development and competency (STC's)
- Mentor apprentices and trainee colleagues and lead on monthly team meetings to discuss performance and safety
- Proactively engage with customers and assist with resolving customer complaints promptly and effectively in line with NGN Customer Complaints Standards of Service
- Pro-actively manage performance issues, Sickness, Absence, Productivity, and Relationships
- Take an active role in the recruitment, selection, and development of team membersWhat we are looking for in our E&I Network Maintenance Site Manager
- Instrument apprenticeship (ONC or equivalent) and Instrument NVQ (Level 3 or equivalent)
- Compex 1-4, TIM 2,3,4,5, EUSR Gas Passport and SCO 1,2,4,5
- EL6 Restricted Authorisation (or equivalent)
- Maintenance experience (field based) and the experience leading an engineering team to successfully deliver targets
- Experience with Permits / SSoW and the ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Confident with project delivery (minor projects) with Microsoft Office knowledge
- It would be advantageous if you had an HNC – Instrumentation, AE Status under SCO / EL6, IOSH – Managing Safely / SMSTS and AI Assessor
- Your previous experience in a site manager role and the ability to remote team management would be also advantageous
- Full UK driving licence with the eligibility to work in the UKWhat we offer
- Starting salary £52,948 to £60,007 (in line with the TOTEX Site Manager Progression Framework)
- Up to 10% bonus as part of the TOTEX Site Manager Incentive scheme
- 6,500.00 per annum company car / cash allowance
- 41.25 hours per week on a variable work pattern, including participation in the managers' standby / callout rota
- 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period)
- SSP for first 2 calendar days then occupational sick pay
