A fantastic career progression opportunity has arisen in the Chichester College Group’s International team as Assistant Director of Studies – International & English as a Foreign Language.
The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in West Sussex, with one of the largest EFL departments in the public sector. The ideal candidate for our Assistant Director of Studies role will be working in a similar position in either the private or public sector. It is essential that you have experience of managing a team of highly experienced EFL Teachers. You must also be able to deliver to the highest standards as expected by the British Council. You will have a Bachelors degree and be TEFLQ as defined by the British Council.
As our Assistant Director of Studies – International & English as a Foreign Language, you will be responsible for :
- Working collaboratively and innovatively with staff to design, develop, manage and review programmes.
- Taking responsibility for ensuring the EFL programme is appropriately staffed.
- Supporting new and existing staff to improve the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and associated processes.
- Deputising for the Director of Studies.
- Ensuring that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
- Undertaking teaching, learning and assessment activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs.
