Job Description
Position : Product Technologist
Type : Permanent
Location : Sherborne
Salary : Competitive, with excellent benefits
Working Hours : Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with flexitime opportunities
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Technologist to join one of Europe's leading glass fibre manufacturers. Our client prides themselves on their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and their innovative approach to producing world-class products. Recent Graduates will be considered forthis role.
As a Product Technologist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and development within the existing business, as well as assisting with future technical projects.
Main Duties :
- Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with legislation
- Coordinate regular testing of products to identify and address faults, providing evaluations to improve their quality
- Develop and update technological processes for production
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date technical documentation
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to parameters and specifications
- Develop improvement plans for products and processes, analysing data to identify areas for enhancement
- Conduct research and development work in laboratories and production facilities
- Utilise company manufacturing systems to maintain accurate written and electronic records
