Job description

An award-winning supplier of installation tools for the energy infrastructure industries is seeking a skilled Design Engineer. With over 40 years of heritage, this company serves customers in more than 80 countries. Their products, used in critical applications across multiple sectors, are designed and manufactured to the highest standards, ensuring precision and reliability.

Who This Job Would Suit :

This role is ideal for a degree-educated individual with a background in mechanical engineering and product design. It suits someone seeking to advance their career in new product development within a dynamic and growing business environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop robust, manufacturable design solutions with a strong mechanical engineering aptitude.
Utilise 3D CAD and analysis tools to create and assess component properties for optimal design (AutoCAD / Inventor).
Participate in all aspects of product design and development, including validation, type approval, and production support.
Work within a structured APQP new product development process.
Provide design and technical engineering support for existing products.

Requirements :

Proven experience as a Design Engineer within fast-paced Manufacturing environment

Degree qualified in relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline

Experience with a variety of materials and metals.

Exposure to NPD projects

Competent use of GD& T / GPS would be desirable

Location : Rossendale

Permanent

Salary : £37k - £43k

Working Hours : Full Time, Mon-Fri, flexible.
