Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a well-established company based in Ripon, North Yorkshire.

Commutable from York, Northallerton, Yarm, Thirsk, Bedale, Harrogate or Knaresborough.

The Role

As the Management Accountant, you will report into the Financial Controller to drive the business forward. You will ensure the finance function has robust financial controls in place and oversee all financial accounting, management accounting, billing, collection, and purchase ledger.

You will assist with the month end management and group accounts reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and variance analysis. KPI reporting will also be a key part of your monthly role.

You will assist with coordinating and overseeing the annual statutory audit and continuously ensure compliance within the UK accounting regulations.

Duties

The position will very much be a broad finance role, with primary responsibility for :

• Management and responsibility of all revenue recognition, WIP, expense recharges to expected company performance and relevant KPIs.
• Management Information preparation for individual group companies and consolidated.
• Oversight of the annual statutory accounts preparation and assisting with managing the external audit.
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, raising depreciation journals and posting.
• Monthly VAT validation, quarterly returns and reconciliations.
• Preparation / review of key monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Participating in cross-functional projects which improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance department.
