- Reporting to the Commercial Director
- Manage procurement costs for the division.
- Ensure compliance with group purchasing arrangements.
- Collect rebates and manage material budgets.
- Ensure competitive procurement of materials and plant based on project specifications.
- Administer and monitor material rebate claims.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Prepare contract material budgets and track progress.
- Issue tender enquiries and analyse quotations.
- Prepare material take-off from contract drawings.
- Develop material schedules on Excel for supplier and site use.
- Generate and issue purchase orders.
- Implement waste management systems on sites through order issuance.
- Compile and submit statistical analysis as required.About the benefits and rewards : The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £70k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits.About the requirements :
- Previous experience in a Buying role, with knowledge of take-offs, schedules, and budgets.
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
- GCSE English and Mathematics (grade A-C / 4+ or equivalent).
- Strong communication, listening, and attention to detail skills.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with the ability to learn new systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines under pressure and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
