Field Service Engineer Permanent £35,000-£47,000 DOE Bury St Edmunds 40hrs Per week We’re currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer for a well-established client based in Bury St Edmund’s area. Our client is ideally seeking an individual with a history of working within the medical / chemical industry. The successful candidate will also have a interest or eye for engineering. This is an exciting position for someone looking to progress within their career and will include frequent overseas travel, so applicants must be comfortable with this- good communication and organisational skills are a must! Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the successful candidates. Due to the nature of this role the successful candidates will need a valid Passport and full UK driving licence. Must be able to commute to Bury St Edmunds head office daily Main responsibilities : Training new and existing customers to use the Laboratory equipment and software Responsible for on-site maintenance, repairs, replacements and upgrades Obtain customer feedback after job completion and gather information when discussing applications Ensure customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventative maintenance Provide technical support to customers via phone and email Responsible for creation of technical bulletins and guides Oversea Conferences to talk to potential new clients about the devices capabilities. Relevant Certification will be awarded after training is completed Key Skills and qualifications : Desirable 2 years’ experience in a laboratory service or installation-based role NVQ Level 3 or Higher Diploma / Degree in engineering or chemical engineering Excellent problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Confident to work with minimal supervision after training Previous experience of working overseas desirable Experience of working within a scientific / laboratory-based environment- desirable Benefits : 25 days annual holiday + bank holidays Company pension Expenses paid travel and subsistence Laptop and phone provided Company car ( only use for Uk field work and traveling to and from the airport ) If you are interested in this position, please apply with a current CV or contact the Bury St Edmunds office for more information
