Are you an experienced support worker who is enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to enrich and make a difference in the lives of other people?

Would you like to work in a specialist Childrens School that is surrounded by 18 acres of fields and woodlands, with its own lake, a swimming pool, sports hall and vast amounts of in and outdoor learning and play opportunities? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you!

The school is situated on the border of Powys and Herefordshire and it's ethos is to ensure Children are supported to engage and inspire, to develop confidence, make friends and create lasting childhood memories.

Overview :

Title : Children Support Worker
Pay : £13.68 - £27.36 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Location : Presteigne
Hours : Flexible pattern available, pick and choose the shifts you want every week. 12-hour shift pattern including days and waking nights

The main responsibilities of a support worker includes :

Ensuring physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;

Supporting residents during recreational activities within the services and out in the community

Promoting independence and celebrating achievements and milestones of the residents;

Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and any incidents should they arise;

General housekeeping duties depending on the service and it's requirements

We are looking for people who care and have :

A minimum of 6 months experience working within a care setting in the UK

A compassionate and caring nature

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships

Resilience and patience when faced with challenges

A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team

Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
