Positive behaviour Support Worker
CJP Outreach Service are currently recruiting Positive behaviour Support Workers to join our team as we prepare to welcome a fourth client to our service. For this position it would be an advantage to have a background in Positive behaviour support, working and supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours of concern. Ideally your experience will be a support worker who has experience in community base settings, such as supported living and / or residential care as a support worker.
As a support worker You will play a pivotal role in providing person-centred support for adults with complex behavioural needs and communication difficulties in achieving their goals. You will be supporting people to develop essential life skills and independence.
You will be part of a dynamic and resilient team that values diversity, promotes inclusion, and fosters a supportive environment.
As a key team player your responsibilities will include :
- Providing person-centred support.
- Collaborating with the people we support to create and implement tailored support plans.
- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies and interventions to improve their quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.
- Assisting the people we support to develop essential life skills such as cooking, personal hygiene, budgeting, and household management.
- Supporting with medication, medical appointments, and maintaining good quality health and well-being.
- Supporting with community activities and enabling the people we support to engage in social events, access local services, build meaningful relationships and improve their quality of life.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive care records, documenting progress, incidents, and outcomes as required.
- Working closely with your colleagues, families, external professionals, and other agencies to ensure holistic care for the people we support.
Working hours
We provide support on a 24 / 7 basis with staffing ratios of 1 : 1 and 2 : 1 support. You will be expected to support on a rotational basis working 12-hour and 15-hour shifts.
This will include every other weekend with sleep-in duties also available.

Our Refer a Friend scheme is worth £500 in total.
This is split £250 after the person has worked 100 hours and then another £250 when they have passed probation (6 months usually).
