About the Role :
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in Pontypool, Wales. As an agency partner, we work closely with schools to provide high-quality teaching assistants who are passionate about supporting students and fostering a positive learning environment.
This position involves working closely with class teacher to support the academic and personal development of students, particularly those with additional learning needs. You will play a key role in ensuring the classroom runs smoothly and students receive the support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and supporting the curriculum
- Provide individual and small group support for students
- Help students with additional learning needs to achieve their potential
- Support classroom management and organization
- Track student progress and provide feedback to the teacher
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
- Promote good behaviour and assist in maintaining a calm learning environment
