Supply Teaching Assistant - Plymouth - Temporary (UK DRIVING LICENSE AND CAR MANDATORY)

Job Title : Supply Teaching Assistant

Location : Plymouth

Salary : £80 - £95 per day

Start Date : September 2024

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Teaching Assistant in Plymouth for regular cover work in SEN schools.

Responsibilities :

Provide personalised support and guidance, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
Foster social interactions and communication skills in a nurturing environment.
Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and behaviour interventions, utilising diverse teaching methods tailored to SEN students' needs.
Implement behaviour management strategies to cultivate a positive atmosphere.
Collaborate with SENCO, parents, and external agencies, maintaining detailed records of student progress and interventions.
Participate in ongoing mentorship and professional development to improve teaching skills and advance in the field of education.

Requirements :

Strong communication skills for clear interactions.

Priority given to applicants with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Demonstrated patience, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability.

Commitment to student success.

Experience working with individuals with severe learning difficulties or other SEN prefered.

Excellent communication skills and empathy.
