Job descriptionCompany Overview : We are a leading provider of loft boarding solutions, committed to delivering exceptional service and quality craftsmanship to our customers. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Depot Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient operation of our Yorkshire depot.Position Overview : The Depot Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of our depot operations, including inventory management, logistics coordination, team supervision, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.Responsibilities : Oversee the day-to-day operations of the depot, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.Manage inventory levels, including procurement, storage, and distribution of loft boarding materials and equipment.Coordinate with installation teams to fulfil material requirements for scheduled projects.Develop and implement depot operating procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.Supervise depot staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management as needed.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.Maintain accurate records of inventory, equipment, and maintenance activities.Conduct regular inspections of the depot facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly.Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management on depot operations and performance.Qualifications : Previous experience in warehouse or depot management, preferably in the construction or home improvement industry.Strong knowledge of joinery, loft boarding materials, equipment, and logistics.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.Benefits : Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Opportunities for career growth and advancement.Dynamic and collaborative work environment.Training and development programs to enhance skills and expertise.Join our team and be part of an exciting journey towards revolutionising loft boarding solutions.
