About Our Client

The client is a large and multinational business based in North West London.

Job Description

The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to-

• To organise all overseas transport and deal with any queries relating to this.
• To obtain price quotes for all shipments and ensure the most competitive and effective solution is used.
• To maintain regular meetings with freight forwarders and make sure that we get the best customer service possible.
• To keep the transport tender up to date.
• To review all transport invoices and pass them to the accounts department in a timely manner.
• To resolve any pricing queries or complaints and escalate if necessary.
• To check all customs clearance paperwork to ensure the right amount of duty has been paid and raise any issues with the transport companies if necessary.
• To complete all declarations (customs clearance for goods going into NI)
• To maintain the Control and Carriers spreadsheet with the help of the Logistics Stock Controller. To analyse transport rates on a regular basis and flag up any variances to the rest of the team and the Business Analysis team.
• To ensure commodity codes and duty rates are reviewed on a quarterly basis and research commodity codes for new lines.
