Operations ManagerSalary : £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experienceLocation : Welham Green, Fixed LocationOverview : An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual with experience in builders' merchants to join us as an Operations Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will work closely with the Commercial Manager to develop and grow our overall operations at the Welham Green depot. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including Purchasing and Stock Management, Warehouse and Yard operations, Transport operations, and Health and Safety compliance.Ideal Candidate : Proven experience in operational management within the builders' merchants sectorExceptional people management skills, with a strong focus on customer serviceStrong financial awareness and day-to-day financial management capabilitiesAbility to effectively manage change and drive operational improvementsA proactive approach to health and safety best practicesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenA collaborative mindset with the ability to motivate and inspire team membersKey Responsibilities : Manage process and operational excellence to optimise customer satisfactionDeliver process and operational improvements to enhance efficiency across the businessLead teams in implementing health and safety best practicesIncrease productivity throughout all operational areas, from receiving goods to fulfilling customer ordersDevelop and manage a skilled team that meets both company objectives and personal goalsEnsure effective financial control systems are in place to support overall business objectivesPlan and deliver training for staff to foster continuous professional developmentAbout ABC Depot : ABC Depot, rooted in a rich history of over 25 years, has evolved from a small family-owned hardware shop in North London into a trusted resource for builders' supplies.
