Job Title : Payroll Manager
Location : Newton Abbot, Devon
Contract : Permanent, 37.5 hours per week
Salary : Dependent on experience and qualifications
Puro Associates are excited to represent an outstanding opportunity for a Payroll Manager to join a dynamic team in Newton Abbot, Devon. This is a fantastic permanent position for a driven individual with significant payroll experience and leadership skills. As a Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth payroll operations, managing a skilled team, and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Role & Responsibilities : As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for a range of clients. Your key duties will include :
- Managing and processing a portfolio of client payrolls, providing day-to-day support in terms of service and queries.
- Overseeing the day-to-day workflow and delegation of payroll tasks to the team.
- Preparing reports, summaries, and analysis for both clients and internal staff.
- Managing the payroll department, reviewing processed payrolls, and ensuring the quality of work.
- Handling BACS processing, RTI submissions, pension processing, and auto-enrolments.
- Managing payroll queries, ensuring that client and employee concerns are resolved promptly.
- Raising monthly invoices for clients, including any special work or additional services.
- Conducting regular reviews of client fees to ensure work is valued correctly and reporting these to the Partners.
- Leading the continuous development and training of the payroll team, ensuring ongoing improvements are implemented.
- Reporting regularly on department performance, new and lost clients, and other relevant payroll matters.
- Keeping up to date with payroll legislation and compliance, and ensuring the team is informed.
- Assisting in BACS audits and performing compliance and AML checks as needed.
- Handling communication with clients and staff about legislative changes and other relevant payroll updates.
As a Payroll Manager, you will also ensure that all payroll-related records are accurate, adhere to regulations, and are managed effectively.
