Role- Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer Salary- £38,000- £46,000 per annum (Dependent on experience, please advise what you’re looking for) Type- Permanent Location- Berkshire My engineering client are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the Berkshire area. The Mechanical Design and Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes : Be Degree / HND / HNC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering 2 years or more of industry experience would be desirable working in a similar Design or Project role in a mechanical engineering environment Experience of working on projects from concept to completion Very good attention to detail Knowledge of CAD software – ideally Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks, and AutoCAD Any previous experience of working with industrial machinery would be beneficial Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office programmes (MS Excel / MS Project) would be an advantage Excellent communication skills Ability to work well alone as well as part of a team Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role The Mechanical Design and Project Engineer role will involve : Coordinating technical projects and ensuring they remain within budget and are delivered on time Preparing engineering proposals for customer requirements Being involved in project management, equipment design and CAD drafting – using Inventor Planning and scheduling engineering work Ensuring products perform correctly so carrying out product testing if needed Managing documentation submissions and producing the required product manuals Preparing project status reports Ensuring company standards are always adhered to Liaising between different departments and working with other offices / teams when required If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
