Diabetic Nurse Part time (9 Hours two 4.5 sessions)

Due to the sad and sudden passing of our Practice Diabetic Nurse we are re-advertising for this post.

We are inviting nursing applicants to join our friendly practice team at Mossend Surgery as our Diabetic Nurse.

The successful candidate will be working within a well-establish, varied and highly skilled team who are keen to provide a high level of care for our diabetic patients. We are a 4 GP partnership supported clinically by a salaried GP, a practice nurse, a pharmacist, an OT and a mental health nurse.

The post-holder will provide practice based reviews, using the frameworks of the Enhanced Service provision, discussing and implementing treatments, and offering ongoing guidance and support to this cohort of patients. They will have close links to the GPs and allied health staff based in the practice.

We would ask that prospective candidates are :

Registered Nurses with valid UK NMC Registration

Knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within Diabetic care

Administrative and IT skills to ensure data recording in VISION and SCI as well as organising and sending recall appointments

Contract type permanent, part time and 9 hours per week with flexibility on days worked.
