We are looking to recruit a Careers Adviser to join our friendly community team in Manchester.

Careers Advisers are paid between : £26,485 – £30,012 per annum (depending on experience)

You will become part of a team that engages and provides careers support to 16–18-year-olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEET), helping them to identify their career ambitions and move into fulfilling training and employment opportunities.

This varied, interesting and rewarding role will be based at our office at The Millennium Powerhouse in Moss Side though you will work flexibly in venues in the community across Manchester.

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic individual who can build meaningful relationships with young people, helping them understand their career skills and strengths, overcome personal barriers and create a better future for themselves. You will join our team in the work that we do across the city and work closely with colleagues in partner organisations to help improve outcomes for young people. This will involve direct contact with young people, their parents / carers, and a range of professionals from support services, training providers and employers across the city, so excellent communication skills are essential, as are effective time management and the ability to travel independently.

Salary for the role is £26,485 – £30,012 for a 35-hour week and we have great benefits and plenty of opportunities for staff training and internal progression.

Our holidays start at 25 days + Bank Holidays. We give an extra 6 days a year for staff with longer service and everyone gets the day off on their birthday.
