An established and growing business in the logistics sector is looking for a Finance Manager to play a key role in its finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role involves supporting the team, ensuring strong financial controls, and partnering with senior stakeholders across the business. Key Responsibilities : Oversee and mentor the finance team, supporting their long-term developmentHandle complex finance queries related to payroll, payments, and journalsReview and enhance financial controls and operational efficienciesManage financial accounting to trial balance, including accruals and prepaymentsPrepare VAT data for MTD and PAYE reconciliationsEnsure consistency in finance processes and documentation across the groupBuild strong relationships with directors, senior managers, and external advisorsDeliver high-quality, accurate financial reportingWhat We’re Looking For : Comfortable in a fully office-based role – either 4 or 5 days per weekPrevious team management experienceStrong MS Office skills, particularly ExcelExcellent communication skills to influence decision-makingAbility to analyse and interpret financial data to identify trendsSalary : £35,000 - £45,000 + 22 days holiday (rising with service + bank holidays) This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business and make a real impact within its finance function.
