Where does the role fit into Pobl
Ty Parc sits within Pobls Support division providing supported accommodation to a range of individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness and have varying needs such as mental health issues substance misuse issues and learning difficulties. The purpose of the service is to support customers to develop independent living skills to enable them to move onto independent sustainable accommodation.
Whats Great About the Role
The role will be varied and involve managing a team of colleagues to deliver a quality housing support service to vulnerable people.
You will manage a team of support staff including Lead Project Workers Project Workers Scheme Support Officers and Accommodation Co Ordinators. You will inspire challenge and manage your team to improve performance and outcomes for people who use our services. You will also be responsible for staffs wellbeing coaching mentoring and supervision as well as enable the people who access our services to lead successful and independent lives.
You will also :
- Oversee the running of the service including health and safety ongoing maintenance and neighbour relationships.
- Be responsible for the annual budget and monitoring the services income
- To work in conjunction with HR to manage all relevant HR procedures as and when required such as sickness absence disciplinary contractual etc.
- To take responsibility of the recruitment selection interviewing and induction of all staff in line with Pobl Groups values.
- Ensure that advice is given on welfare rights permanent housing options and other associated information according to the needs and wishes of the clients.
- Ensure that clients receive resettlement advice as and when appropriate to address their moveon needs.
- Monitor the service and produce and amend procedures as appropriate
- Build relationships and liaise with local neighbourhoods businesses commissioners and council
Who are we looking for
You will have had previous experience in a support environment and have a good understanding of leadership and management.
