Our well-established manufacturing client, based in Lydney, has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executiveto join their evolving business on a permanent basis.
The position will involve sourcing leads, creating relationships with potential clients, and working with all departments in order to secure new business. As you will be managing your own area of sales, you must be pro-active, with a proven track record of delivering successful sales.
Duties / Responsibilities;
- Add to and build on existing sales pipeline with new prospective accounts
- Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
- Meet with customers / clients over the phone or via Teams
- Research and identify new business opportunities
- Foster and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively
- Discuss marketing / promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department
- Liaise with internal departments as appropriate
- Generate quotations for customers and follow up, converting quotes into orders
- Handle and resolve customer complaints with the support of the relevant departments
- Update and maintain customer interactions, inquiries, comments and complaints into ERP system
- Candidate Attributes;
- Highly self-motivated and target driven
- Ability to communicate effectively with relevant departments, whilst prioritising tasks
- Extremely confident in communicating with clients via the telephone and email
- Ability to work in an enthusiastic and committed team in a fast-paced operations environment
Hours; Monday to Thursday 9 : 00am – 5pm, with an early finish on a Friday 9 : 00am to 4pm
Salary; Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) + attractive bonus structure + 24 days holidays + sick pay after 1st year of service + social events in the summer and Christmas + performance bonus + free on-site wellness clinic available annually.
