Things we’d love to tell you about our Lockerbie site

A well invested, highly automated site which is currently undergoing a further c.£35 million investment to improve our facility and equipment upgrades.

Works are ongoing with our Anaerobic Digestion plant and upon completion our Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant at our Lockerbie Dairy & Creamery will be the largest in Europe.

So what do our engineers actually do?

This is an opportunity not to be missed. You’ll get the chance to work at Arla Foods Lockerbie Dairy working across our Anaerobic Digestion plant. As an M&E Technician you will perform routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns. This includes;

Inspect and service pumps, valves, feed systems, and other mechanical components

Troubleshoot and repair faults in the digestion system and associated equipment

Monitor the performance of the anaerobic digestion process using control systems

Adjust controls to regulate flow rates, temperatures, and mixing to optimize the digestion process and collect and analyse data on biogas production, quality, and composition

What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role

Ambition & drive

Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within manufacturing, Production and Process environments, experience working on a effluent treatment plant (ETP) or Anaerobic Digestion plant (AD) would be highly desirable.

Ideally apprentice trained with NVQ OR CITB level 3 qualification within an engineering discipline

Ideally you will have experience with fast- moving machinery including pumps, valves, feed systems, heat exchangers, digesters and so on.

Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’S

Time served as Multi- Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
