HGV Technician required in Crosshands, Carmarthenshire.

Starting salary up to £16-18 per hour pending experience / qualifications increasing to £16.50 - 18.50 after probation period, plus overtime, bonuses, and optional breakdown assistance van coverage.
40 hour Mon-Fri split shift rota : week one is 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm and week two is 12 : 00pm-8 : 30pm. Also 1 in 2 Sat 8 : 00am - 12 : 00pm paid at overtime.

Our client, a long-established franchise approved commercial vehicle dealership in the Crosshands, Carmarthenshire region, are currently looking to hire a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician for their busy Service Department.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a team, as a HGV Technician your key objectives will include :

To complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers time schedules.

Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.

Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.

Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.

To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.

Document the results of diagnosis / repairs / service / safety inspections.

In order to be eligible you will need to be qualified to IMI / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or alternatively hold strong time served practical experience working as a HGV Technician. You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV driving licence would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.

What's in it for you? For your hard work as a HGV Technician, our client is offering :

Starting salary up to £16-18 per hour pending experience / qualifications increasing to £16.50-18.50 after probation period.

Overtime paid at an enhanced rate of time and a half or double time depending on the time of day.

Performance based quarterly bonus paying up to £2,000 per annum.

Optional breakdown assistance van coverage on a 1 in 3 / 4 weekly rota offering massive financial benefits - £350 paid per shift with a £30 call out payment per call outside of shift hours and an enhanced hourly rate.

23 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays with your holiday allowance increasing over length of service.

Full in-house and off-site manufacturer-approved training provided.
