Location : Leith

Salary : £12.02p / h

Work Schedule : Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Role Overview :

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Hygiene Operative to join our team at a busy flour mill. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the site, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. If you have a strong work ethic and take pride in upholding high standards, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities :

The role involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and communal facilities in line with strict hygiene protocols. You will conduct routine checks to ensure compliance with food safety standards, dispose of waste appropriately, and replenish cleaning supplies. Tasks include operating cleaning machinery safely and accurately completing hygiene records. Adherence to health and safety regulations is essential, and you may assist with other tasks as required by the hygiene supervisor.

Essential Skills :

Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role, preferably in a food production environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is highly desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and cleaning.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Proactive approach to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
