Project Details
Senior Quantity Surveyor must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time. Project value ranges from 50k to 2 million pounds.
In this role, Quantity Surveyor will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee commercial activities across multiple projects. Responsibilities will include maximising cash flow, margin and market share via robust surveying practice.
This is an office position based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire with regular travel to site to London and nationwide as required.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Liaising and collaborate with Directors, Contracts managers and operations teams in all contractual activities.
- Liaising with Estimators at project handover to understand spec, scope and contract sums.
- Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations / applications in order to enhance commercial outcomes for the company.
- Costing and agreeing variations and robust follow up to ensure payment.
- Valuing variations and ascertaining loss and / or expense.
- Advising colleagues on delays, extensions of time and loss and / or expense and ensuring relevant notices are issued.
- Reporting on the overall financial position of contracts.
- Assisting with tendering for projects
