A highly capable Learning Support Assistant is being sought by a secondary school in Lancaster . The position will commence on April 2025 , covering a maternity leave period with the potential for extension. The ideal candidate for this role will be motivated and dedicated to ensuring that students consistently reach their full potential. The primary objective of this position is to foster the core values of pride, respect, and achievement among all students, with a particular focus on providing individualised care for those in need of specialised support.
The selected applicant will be responsible for :
- Establishing positive relationships with students
- Demonstrating a commitment to supporting learners
- Promoting independence and employing techniques to acknowledge and reward success
- Possessing strong literacy and numeracy skills to instil confidence in all aspects of school life
- Displaying a dedication to continuous professional development and contributing expertise to departmental and whole school training
- Documenting progress and achievements during lessons and providing evidence of the level of progress attained
