Job description

If you have a passion for maintaining cleanliness and creating a welcoming environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities :

Clean designated areas of the school site as assigned by the cleaner in charge.
Follow instructions from the Site Manager regarding the use of cleaning materials.
Utilise cleaning machinery, such as vacuum cleaners and polishers, to ensure both soft and hard surfaces are sparkling clean.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding school-related matters, respecting the importance of sensitive information.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

Key duties include :

Vacuuming both hard and soft floors.

Swiftly spot cleaning any spillages.

Wiping and polishing furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors, and door glass.

Emptying and cleaning waste and recycling bins.

Ensuring toilets are thoroughly cleaned, including sanitary fittings and surrounds.

Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces.

Maintaining the appearance of furniture by wiping, polishing, and straightening.

Restocking supplies in toilets and classrooms.

Checking windows and switching off lights at the end of each shift.

Assisting with other duties as allocated from time to time.

Requirements :

Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to cleaning tasks.

Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Knowledge of health and safety practises.

Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.
