Parkview Care Centre are seeking a Lifestyle Lead to join their friendly nursing and residential home based in Ashford, Kent.The role will entail;To ensure meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities are planned, organised,promoted and implemented in the home for all residents in line with principles, policies,procedures and best practice guidelines for relationship centered care, clinical care anddementia care.The Lifestyle lead will motivate, inspire and mobilise team members in the home to beinvolved and engaged in the provision of stimulating activities within the resident’senvironment.They will spend 80% of their time delivering vibrant activities to all the residents across all the units in the homeTo plan organise, promote and implement a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme, based on relationship centred care principalsMotivate, inspire and mobilise other care team members within the homeDeliver 80% of their working time on vibrant and meaningful activities across all units of the home with targeted programmes that meet the needs of the resident groups such as those who live in residential communities, those living with dementia and those who are bed bound and are not able to easily participate in the home programme.Lead on the design, development and implementation of the home newsletter that reports on the home’s events and activities of interestEnsure records relating to activities are accurate and up to dateQualifications / EducationNVQ HSC level 3 or QCF HSC award 3 ~ (not essential)ExperienceProven track record of organising, coordinating, motivating otherExperience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activitiesExperience of working and / or engaging with older people (both living with and without Dementia).Experience delivering high quality relationship centered careSkills / KnowledgeExcellent communication (written and verbal) and clinical skillsKnowledge of and competence in core Microsoft office applicationsPassionate and keen to develop new skillsListening skillsData management (for record keeping and review)Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise workloads whilst under pressurePersonal QualitiesReliable, flexible, adaptable, punctualWill and able to work outside the standard work hoursApproachable and friendlyPositive in outlook and mannerSelf-motivatedAble to promote a professional image for the company at all times
