Job Summary :
We are currently recruiting a Relief Cleaning Assistant to join our team on a sessional basis at the George Steven Community Hub and Community Kitchen
This is a unique environment where you will work as part of a strong and supportive team. Learn new skills and meet new people who strive towards the same outcomes.
As a Relief cleaning Assistant, you will work with members of the public, including some of the most vulnerable individuals in our locality and our service users who are adults with learning and physical disabilities.
Your duties will include
1 - Undertake cleaning duties according to the cleaning schedule to ensure a high standard is maintained
2 - Wear protective clothing and follow safe working practices to ensure health & safety and environmental health & hygiene standards are maintained
3 - Store cleaning materials in accordance with safety standards
4 -Treat service users and members of the public in a sympathetic, helpful and supportive manner
5 -Move chairs / tables / equipment as required to fulfil cleaning requirements
6 - Place orders for cleaning materials as and when required.
We are looking for someone who has
1 - Previous cleaning experience
2 - Knowledge of relevant health & safety requirements and procedures )
3 - Experience of using cleaning equipment
4 - Awareness of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) requirements
5 - Basic standard of literacy and numeracy
