Job Purpose :

As a Hygiene Technician at Veetee, you will ensure all machines and external areas of the factory are cleaned and maintained to the Company's Hygiene operating standards.

Responsibilities :

To work as part of a team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all areas of the site.

To identify difficulties as and when they arise and communicate these to your hygiene team leader.

Check the chemical containers are labelled, locked and lids are attached at all times.

To follow all hygiene, food safety, quality, H&S procedures, and the company terms & conditions.

To achieve a “right first time” clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.

Working to a timely manner as to maximise efficiency and completing additional task at quieter periods.

Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.

Manual handling of goods up to 25kg.

Operations of cleaning equipment during deep cleaning tasks and wash down of machines during scheduled shut down periods.

Cleaning and tidying of the external areas of the factory and office buildings.

Handle chemicals as per COSHH training and regulations.

Comply with hygiene schedule.

Comply with existing cleaning instruction cards and SOP’s.

Undertake all aspects of hygiene within non-operational areas, this includes toilets, canteen, warehouse, yard.

Other duties that may be reasonably regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the post as defined.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience :

Previous experience in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment.

The ability to work quickly, methodically and under pressure.

Comfortable to work in a hot environment, confined space, on heights and with pest control.

Good communication skills.

Reliable and willing to work flexibly.

Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
