Water Treatment Technical Specialist - Site-Based PositionWe are seeking a skilled professional to serve as our on-site technical expert, offering the following refined scope of responsibilities : Technical Leadership & Customer Relations : Serve as the principal technical consultant and customer liaison
Provide comprehensive on-site service support
Collaborate with Area Field Services Leadership and Senior Representatives
Analytical & Maintenance Duties : Conduct precise water analysis and manage laboratory sample coordination
Perform detailed equipment maintenance and calibration, including :
Advanced instrumentation (pH, Conductivity, flow, ORP)
Water treatment systems (UF, RO, EDI)
Pumps, motors, and control systems
Operational Management : Generate thorough on-site reports documenting all technical interventions
Maintain optimal inventory levels of critical spare components
Implement system improvements through procedural recommendations
Service Commitment : Participate in structured on-call rotation (one week in four)
Provide emergency response services as required
Knowledge Transfer : Deliver comprehensive training to client personnel on equipment operation
Mentor company trainees in technical operations
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a technically-minded professional seeking to make a significant impact in water treatment operations.Qualifications
Required : Higher education qualification in Science, Engineering or technical discipline
OR substantial mechanical expertise gained through apprenticeship or practical site maintenance experience
Valid UK driving licence
Preferred : A-Level Chemistry or demonstrable equivalent practical knowledge
Professional Competencies : Essential Technical Proficiencies : Comprehensive knowledge of water treatment systems operation and maintenance
Proven mechanical maintenance capabilities
Valuable Additional Experience : Industrial environment exposure
Proficiency with safety protocols and documentation (Risk Assessments, Method Statements, permit systems)
This position presents an excellent opportunity for technically accomplished individuals who combine practical expertise with relevant academic credentials. We welcome applications from candidates with either traditional educational qualifications or equivalent practical experience in the field.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and hands-on technical skills, particularly in water treatment and mechanical systems maintenance.Additional Information
