The 22-bed service is designed to meet the needs of adults aged 18+ in a compassionate and nurturing environment. We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our service users.The Role : As a Support Worker you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with varying needs. You will assist with day-to-day activities, promote independence, and offer emotional support, all while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. This is a fully flexible role, offering a work-life balance with the expectation of working alternative weekends. Although your primary hours will be during the day, there may be occasions where night support is required.Key Responsibilities :
- Provide support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and complex needs.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and social activities.
- Encourage independence and support service users in achieving their personal goals.
- Work closely with colleagues and external professionals to deliver holistic care.
- Ensure the health and safety of service users and the home environment.
- Assist with monitoring and recording any changes in health and behaviour.Person Specification :
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Support Worker (Essential).
- Experience working with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, complex needs, and challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- Ability to work flexibly and support both day and occasional night shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a team player.
