Starting Salary : £29,269 with the opportunity to progress to £32,076 pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours : 37 per week

The Supporting Families Practice Team sits within Supporting Families in Children’s Services, and deliver training, support, advice and guidance to professionals supporting families through early help intervention across Hertfordshire, to ensure families are receiving the right support at the right time from the right services. The role will not be working directly with families but supporting those that do.
The Families First Coordinator will be visible throughout all districts and provide Early Help support including 1 : 1 coaching and training around the Early Help Module System (EHM) to partners and practitioners coordinating Early Help support. The role will also include identifying and signposting to other Early Help services available and being knowledgeable about referral pathways and processes.
The Families First Coordinator will be managed by the Senior Families First Coordinator and will work in close collaboration with their Senior, ensuring that Early Help support is delivered to partners in a clear effective way to evidence impact and ensure positive outcomes for families across Hertfordshire.
While you will not be undertaking direct work with families, you will be required to meet with them to help identify their needs and assist their Key Worker to undertake a Families First Assessment (FFA), devise a SMART Action Plan to help meet the needs of families, and attend Team Around the Family (TAF) Meetings which you may be required to Chair and or minute take.
You will also be required to deliver group and 1 : 1 training to Professionals both virtually and in person.

Below are the essential skills and experience we are looking for :
- A sound knowledge and understanding of Families First Assessments and Early Help support in Hertfordshire.
- Experience of Multi-agency working to deliver Early Help with the confidence to communicate across various levels.
- Experience of interacting and working with families, children and young people and finding out what really matters to them.
- You will be outcome focused with excellent attention to detail using their experience in report writing to help identify needs and strengths which in turn will help to produce action plans from the supplied assessments.
- Experience in effective stakeholder engagement across a variety of services and agencies.
- Experience of managing professional conflict and difficult conversations using your negotiation skills for effective partnership working and the ability to problem solve.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage conflicting priorities understanding the importance of the roles others play in achieving a desired outcome.
- Excellent digital literacy including proficiency in Microsoft.
- Previous experience of delivering training would be beneficial but is not required.
- Familiarity of taking minutes and chairing meetings would be an advantage.
- You will need to have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as you will be expected to transport yourself between appointments and meetings.
