We are seeking a Special Educational Needs, Year 7 Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Southwark, specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in Year 7. The students are working from a curriculum that is student-centred, with a focus on choices, independence and the world around them. In this rewarding Year 7 Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as a KS2 Teacher or Year 7 Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.The SchoolThe successful Year 7 Teacher applicant would be joining an outstanding SEN school in Southwark for children with severe learning difficulties. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 4-19 years, who have severe learning differences. The school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupil's specific needs and allows the students to gain independence and life skills.
